Foolish Looking - The Down Side of Being Used by God (11-30-13) Bishop T.D. Jakes on TV 11-17-13, "Why are we so wise with other people's dilemmas and such a fool with our own?" I know that I look foolish in the way that I appear to be mishandling money, but when it came to continuing to do God's work for next to no money or working for someone else for good money, I had to continue to do God's work. I knew that I was going to have to go through the fire, but I also knew that I would be suffering to free captives. I did not realize at the time of my decision that I would become one of the captives who look foolish. Is it foolish to be used by God? I cannot bring myself to believe that it is foolish to trust Him.
Images of God - The Word Becomes as Flesh (12-08-13) Paster Rod Parsley on TV 12-03-13, "What you don't understand is that God is about to use the mess of your past to fertilize the victory of your future." God chastizes His sons and daughters, because He loves us. Therefore, some Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) whammies from God seem not to be what we would have requested in prayer. Since we are His seed, God is awakening the Word (Himself) in us: "The sower soweth the word" (Mark 4.14), "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose (Romans 8.28). So resign to the fact that God's purpose is superior to your purpose. Patience must first be cultivated--and fertilizer might be used--before patience can be engaged.
Punching Bag - Your Turn To Roll With the Punches (11-30-13) Pastor Bill Winston on TV 11-14-13, "It may take a little time, but God knows what he's made you for. You will reach your destiny." I am in awe that God is the great intervener, "Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over" (Psalms 23.5). Yet, what a surprise it is to know that God requires us to contemplate His use of the word "us" instead of the word "me," ". . . If God be for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8.31). Some days "they" are the evil ones, and other days "we" are the evil ones, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" (Romans 3.23) .
